need another tool.

Shopify Inbox is listed as free. Its documented agent answers product questions, recommends products, looks up orders after sign-in and adds items to a cart through storefront chat.[1][2] This screen checks a few documented requirements—not actual availability, security or answer quality in your store.

Documented requirements and limits

The official guide requires installed Inbox, an active online store, new customer accounts and a Basic, Grow, Advanced or Plus plan. It says the agent only operates within the online store's chat widget.[1] Refund/cancellation automation is not established by that guide; absence of documentation is not proof a capability is impossible.

Human handoff is documented when staff are available. Otherwise, the agent supplies the store's sender email address so the customer can email the store; this is not autonomous email support or guaranteed ticket creation. You remain responsible for the accuracy of answers. Review the guide's AI disclosure and privacy-policy requirements before activation; this page is not legal advice.[1] “Free” is the app listing price, not a claim that Shopify itself or staff time is free.[2]
